We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.

The position will be based out of Las Vegas, Nevada, where our Packaging, Distribution, Marketing and Education departments are located.

Compensation / Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

(Candidates must match all criteria to be considered for the high end of the compensation pay range.)

Overview / Summary:

The Facilities and Maintenance Technician performs the day-to-day maintenance of the facility equipment and grounds, including repairs related to the building and upholding a safe and secure environment. This is a manual labor position. Perform janitorial/custodial duties. Works with moderate supervision.

Essential Duties & Qualifications:

  • Assist with basic facility (interior and exterior) upkeep/cleanliness, maintenance/repairs, and improvements (including waste disposal and pest control).
  • Assist with a Preventative Maintenance (PM) program schedule for the applicable equipment and facility.
  • Respond to work requests and record maintenance activities.
  • Successfully complete long-term Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, meeting all project objectives, in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Assist with third party contractor support as needed. Act as the liaison between management and vendors by scheduling, coordinating, and managing on-site visits.
  • Assist with emergency cleanup.
  • Assist with maintenance and restocking of inventory for spare parts, combustibles, tools, and miscellaneous maintenance supplies.
  • Assist and comply with all company and OSHA Health and Safety regulations and procedures including, but not limited to Lockout/ Tagout, Accident Reporting, and Forklift Safety.
  • Basic computer skillset (Outlook, Exel, Word, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Janitorial/Custodial Duties:
    • Keep the building and property in clean and orderly condition.
    • Perform routine maintenance activities.
    • Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors. Shampoo or steam-clean carpets and rugs as necessary.
    • Sanitize Clean Room on daily, weekly, and monthly schedule.
    • Routinely gather and empty all interior trash containers.
    • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks and fixtures. Supply/refill related items (i.e., toilet paper, hand towels, etc.).
    • Wipe down surfaces such as desks, tables, countertops, furniture, walls, windows, and equipment.
    • Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures, and yourself.
    • Maintain inventory for all cleaning/related supplies.
    • Notify managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems. Notify management of safety hazards.
    • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
    • Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Nevada state licensed electrician (electrical contractor or working under a licensed electrician) .
  • Ability to regularly walk, climb, crawl; use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; reach and pull with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally operate a forklift, use a ladder, or other machinery to perform maintenance.
  • Ability to work in an office environment which requires sitting at a desk, standing, and reaching for keyboards, mouse, etc.
  • May pick up materials from local hardware store on occasion.
