Experienced Fabricator / Welder

At JW Hicks, we are looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently, we are looking to add an experienced fabricator. We have a passion for producing the best refractory product on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."

Fabricator / Welder Job Responsibilities:

· Weld and fabricate product as indicated on mechanical drawings

· Operate cutting tools and grinders to prepare components

· Operate forklifts, overhead crane and pallet movers to move materials and products

· Maintain raw material and product identification to insure traceability

· Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition

Fabricator / Welder Minimum Requirements:

· 8 - 10 years Mig welding/fabricating experience

· Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings and weld symbols

· Mechanical and mathematical aptitude

· Understanding of proper use of hand and power tools

· Ability to use precision measuring equipment

· Ability to lift 100 pounds

· Ability and willingness to learn

· High school diploma or GED

Fabricator / Welder Desired Skills:

· Familiarity with crane and forklift operations

· Basic computer literacy
