Job Description – Experienced Cathodic Protection Engineer
Context
The service to be performed is part of engineering studies within the Material Engineering Department (MAE). The COMPANY is seeking an Experienced Cathodic Protection Engineer with strong technical expertise and a minimum of 10 years of work experience in cathodic protection, to support ongoing and upcoming projects.
1. Required Profile
A senior engineering professional with the following skills and qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Technical Sciences, with a specialization in Cathodic Protection

Minimum 10 years of experience in cathodic protection
-
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC)
-
Valid BOSIET (OPITO + CA EBS)
-
Proficiency in key engineering software tools (to be specified depending on candidate)
-
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and clients
-
Fluent in technical English, written and spoken
-
Autonomy, rigor, dynamism, and strong teamwork abilities
2. Scope of Services
The engineer will work autonomously, reporting to the project manager and coordinating with other disciplines. Main tasks include (non-exhaustive list):

Review and analysis of contract documents during proposal phases
-
Preparation of technical clarifications and qualifications to clients
-
Development of cathodic protection conceptual design and philosophy
-
Material quantity evaluation during FEED/EPC phases
-
Production of cathodic protection engineering deliverables, including:
-
Design philosophies
-
Material specifications
-
Design calculation notes
-
Material requisitions
-
Site survey specifications
-
Pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures
-
Technical reports
-

Participation in technical bid evaluations and supplier inspections
-
Preparation or review of arrangement, schematic, and typical drawings with specialized draftsmen
-
Participation in site surveys, construction follow-up, pre-commissioning and commissioning support
3. Required Technical Competencies
-
Proven ability to design cathodic protection systems (sacrificial anodes and impressed current)
-
Experience acquired on major onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects, ideally with EPC contractors
-
On-site experience in construction and commissioning follow-up
-
Strong ability to interface with other engineering disciplines, suppliers, and clients
