Estimator/Proposal Manager in Leander

Leander based heavy civil contractor Austin Filter Systems, Inc. is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of estimator/proposal coordinator.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Review proposal specifications and drawings, review various publications for potential new work, attend pre bid meetings, etc.
• Prepare complete estimate for selected projects with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoffs, select vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare needed bid documents to accompany priced proposal which may include list of comparable projects, bid bond, experience record, proposed suppliers/subcontractors, and associated confirming documents.

Education and Skill Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management .
• 5+ years experience with heavy civil estimating with knowledge about utilities, earthwork, and concrete.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
• Bluebeam experience desirable
• Experience with Hard Dollar estimating software .
• Strong estimating skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
