Estimator - Civil Engineering & Infrastructure - Up to £85,000 + Benefits - Bedford
Are you an Estimator with experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established civil engineering contractor based in Bedford, working on a range of highways, roads, roundabouts, drainage, and pump station schemes.
The Estimator Role
You’ll play a key part in preparing accurate tenders and cost estimates for civil engineering projects across the region. Working closely with the Directors and project delivery teams, you’ll be responsible for pricing from first principles, assessing risk, and ensuring commercially sound bids are produced.
This is an office-based position within a collaborative team where long-term career growth is encouraged.
The Estimator
Background in civil engineering, infrastructure, or groundworks estimating
Strong understanding of roads, drainage, and heavy civils
Proven ability to price from first principles
Organised, detail-driven, and commercially aware
Ideally degree-qualified or time-served within an estimating or QS role
Based within a commutable distance of Bedford
(Assistant Estimators or Quantity Surveyors looking to step into estimating are also welcome to apply.)
