Position Overview
The Engineering Technology System Analyst supports the Engineering Solutions Division by providing expert guidance on engineering applications, network systems, and cloud integration. This position works closely with the Technology and Cybersecurity teams to assess, review, and test software applications, ensuring compliance with performance, compatibility, and security standards. The role also assists the Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) group with project data management, Microsoft Azure storage, and Bluebeam Studio customization for design review workflows. This is a part-time consulting position (three days per week) intended to fulfill an ongoing work order nearing completion.
Key Responsibilities
• Engineering Application Management
o Administer and support applications such as Bluebeam Revu, Bluebeam Org Admin Pro, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Revit, Leica Cyclone Enterprise, Base Map Management Service (BMMS), NearMap, and Esri ArcGIS Pro.
o Oversee software deployments, upgrades, and customization for engineering operations.
• Technology Evaluation and Integration
o Assess new engineering tools, hardware, and platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud, e-Builder, advanced CAD workstations).
o Collaborate with Technology and Cybersecurity teams to evaluate new software and prepare analysis reports for management review.
• Documentation and Training
o Maintain system documentation and deliver training sessions for engineering staff.
o Lead internal “Knowledge Bar” workshops to promote best practices and enhance software proficiency.
• Technical Support and Enhancements
o Troubleshoot and resolve system issues; implement minor software updates and improvements.
o Track and manage support tickets and ensure timely resolution.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Participate in client and interdepartmental meetings to align technical initiatives with engineering priorities.
o Support senior management in developing technology roadmaps and system optimization strategies.
o Plan and prioritize technical tasks to achieve project goals efficiently.
Technical and Experience Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.
• Strong background with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Proven experience supporting Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) operations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Data Lake storage environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Power BI for reporting and visualization.
• Expertise with Bluebeam Revu and Adobe Acrobat Pro (5+ years).
• Strong system analysis capabilities for usage reporting and license tracking.
• Experience managing 3D scanned point cloud data and engineering data workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong time management abilities.
• PE (Professional Engineer) or RA (Registered Architect) license is a plus.
