Job Description

This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering engineering and manufacturing capability across both existing and new products. As an Engineering Manager you will lead capital and process development activities, drive continuous improvement across production operations, and manage a team of production and process engineers to deliver safe, efficient, and cost‑effective manufacturing solutions.\n  \n The Engineering Manager will:\n \nLeading all engineering and manufacturing development activities across new and existing products. \nDefining, designing, installing, and continuously improving production lines to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

\nProviding technical leadership and expertise to production and process engineering teams. \nDriving continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cycle time, equipment availability, and waste reduction. \nManaging departmental budgets, including capital expenditure and tooling investment.

\nDeveloping and maintaining project plans, milestones, and cost profiles to ensure successful delivery. \nAnalysing downtime, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing long‑term corrective actions.  \n The Engineering Manager will have:\n \nA strong background in manufacturing engineering, ideally within CNC machining, assembly, and test operations in an automotive or Tier 1 environment \nProven experience leading and developing engineering teams, operating with autonomy at senior management level \nIn‑depth knowledge of CNC machining (3‑ to 5‑axis), fixtures, machine tools, CAD (2D/3D), and technical drawings \nStrong understanding of automotive standards and quality systems, including IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/FMEA, and Lean / Six Sigma \nDemonstrated experience delivering process improvement, NPI, and production scale‑up programmes \nSolid commercial awareness, with experience managing departmental budgets and capital expenditure \nA relevant engineering or manufacturing qualification (degree ), with professional body membership advantageous  \n This is an opportunity to combine technical excellence, leadership, and continuous improvement within a complex and demanding production environment.
