Engineering Manager
Job Description: Company DescriptionOur company headquarters located in Japan. It is a Digital Creative Studio/Software Development Company which has 6 branches in 4 countries (Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, and the Philippines) with over 2500 software developers. Job DescriptionAs an engineering manager, you are responsible for ensuring that key projects and engineering duties are fulfilled. Responsible for solving any engineering issue that comes up in a project.A few of the main duties of an engineering manager are answering operational questions, proposing budgets for projects, training new employees, and working with various other departments. They also have to prepare reports on the progress of any project.RESPONSIBILITIES:• Design, execute, utilize and maintain software engineering applications.• Prepare all required Technical Proposal pertinent to software engineering.• Administer support for Business Development, Systems Engineering and Technical personnels.• Supervise training and development of software engineering staff.• Assign work to software engineering personnel and evaluate plus manages their performance.• Support to recruit engineering personnel, technical staffing and project teams formation.• Supervise engineering deliverables.• Present practical input for strategic project decisions.• Support preparation of project Roadmap.• Comply with all professional departmental as well as company best practices.• Present project management backup as required.• Help translation of business requirements into technical needs and actions.• Ensure software engineering personnel is suitably trained to perform all job function and suitably use project and software related tools.QUALIFICATION/SKILLS:• Personnel and project management skills• Expert-level knowledge of sector technology and processes• Strategic thinking• Leadership, team-building, and mentoring skills• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills• Data analytics skills and experience• Attention to detail• Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges• Organizational, planning, and documentation skills• Proficiency using presentation software to explain complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders• Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously• Past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools a plusEducation• Graduated from College, University specialized in Information Technology or equivalent.
