Job DescriptionJob DescriptionManage the day-to-day maintenance operations and provide strategic engineering direction for the Freeport, TX manufacturing site, in accordance with company policies, procedures and goals. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIESØ Ensure all Site engineering activities performed are in compliance with company Corporate and USA EHS Procedures, Engineering, and Business Conduct policies and guidelines.Ø Plan and direct the day-to-day activities of the engineering and maintenance team, including providing trouble-shooting and problem-solving expertise in support of Production.Ø Definition and execution of engineering routines to deliver production reliability.Ø Manage the engineering department fixed costs. Provide forecast costs for the annual budget.Ø Develop, maintain, and execute appropriate engineering standards and maintenance routines, to ensure production reliability and quality assurance.Ø Manage the safe and effective control and deployment of contractors brought onsite to perform routine maintenance, specialist tasks, and construction of capital projects. Ø Define and prepare engineering scopes-of-work and cost estimates for site improvement projects (including CAPEX), addressing EHS and production concerns. Manage the execution and spending of approved projects, either directly or through 3rd party support.Ø Manage all functions of the Quality Control LaboratoryØ Deputises for the Plant ManagerØ Requirement for manufacturing and engineering to identify innovative, low-Capex, self-help solutions to delivering the business’s production requirements.Ø Training of Production Technicians in operational practices and Engineering Technicians in equipment maintenance to increase plant reliability.Ø Generate maintenance and capital project budgets and reports.Ø Lead the safety program in the facility including training, monitoring, and reporting. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTSv Bachelor’s degree: Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or 10 years of relevant manufacturing or engineering experiencev Extensive experience in manufacturing, engineering, or chemical production processesv Proficiency with Internet, Email and Microsoft Office programsv Experience with business and manufacturing ERP systems.v Above average Microsoft Excel skillsv Working knowledge of ISO programs and certification requirementsv Analytical thinkingv Innovative thinkingv Achieving valuable resultsv Decision makingv Building relationshipsv Building teams
