Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join Total People as an Engineering IQA on a sessional basis, working ad hoc hours per week, based at our Wythenshawe Campus.\n\nJob Purpose\n\nTo lead internal quality assurance activities across engineering-related qualifications, ensuring rigorous, consistent, and compliant assessment practices. The role supports the delivery of high-quality learning by coaching and developing Engineering Learning Coaches, ensuring all processes align with awarding bodies' standards and meet sector-specific technical and safety requirements. You will ensure the engineering curriculum maintains direct claims status and high levels of audit readiness, underpinning a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.\n\nQualifications, Skills, and Experience\n\nRelevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level higher than delivery), and/or current updated CPD\nTAQA, equivalent or to relevant sector requirements/ willing to work towards\nIQA, equivalent or to relevant sector requirements /willing to work towards\nFunctional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT or equivalent\nExcellent communication skills\nExperience of coaching to support learning\nAbility to plan, organise and prioritise workload\nDetailed understanding of End Point Assessment and GatewayJob Specific Skills:\n\nCoaching - able to deliver high quality, effective coaching that meets learner needs\nCommunication - excellent level of skills in written and oral and presentational areas, understanding the importance of focus on the audience to support learning\nPlanning - attention to detail and a track record in developing and delivering robust, effective, prioritised plans which achieve KPIs and strategic aims\nPerformance - proactively driving performance and engagement\nCustomers- ability to present Total People in a positive manner, persuading and influencing where necessary\nContinuous improvement - seeks to improve processes and implement and embed changesBenefits:\n\n34 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, plus birthday day off \nsignificant pension contribution \nRetail Discounts \nEmployee Assistance Program Total People is an equal opportunities employer.
