Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading O&M provider in the energy sector to recruit an Engineering and Maintenance Manager for its combined heat and power plant in Seascale, Cumbria.

Responsibilities and duties of the Engineering and Maintenance Manager role



Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:



Lead the Engineering & Maintenance Department, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery of engineering activities.



Oversee maintenance strategies, technical standards and engineering procedures.



Support major maintenance events, investigations and plant incidents.



Develop and manage departmental staff, setting objectives and monitoring performance.



Control engineering budgets and ensure work aligns with the Annual Operating Plan.



Maintain and improve the site CMMS, engineering documentation and contractor management.



Provide technical guidance on complex issues and contribute to site improvement initiatives.



Deputise for the Plant Manager and participate in the duty manager rota.



Professional qualifications



We are looking for someone with the following:



Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.



Senior E&M leadership experience in a continuous process environment.



Strong knowledge of engineering risk, asset integrity, ATEX/DSEAR and compliance requirements.



Familiarity with COMAH, Process Safety and Safe Systems of Work.



Experience managing budgets, technical standards and major maintenance activities.



Competence in CMMS use, engineering documentation and contractor oversight.
