Your Role as an Energy Project Engineer

Lead civil engineering design tasks for utility and renewable energy projects.

Develop plans, drawings, specifications, reports, and estimates.

Support construction with site visits and design reviews.

Maintain project records, including documents, reports, and budgets.

Prepare SWPPPs and stormwater designs per regulations.

Participate in project planning, aligning engineering tasks with scope, schedule, and budget.

Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and client presentations.

Ensure designs comply with regulations, safety codes, and standards.

Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to meet project goals.

Provide leadership, quality control, and motivation to project teams.

Mentor junior engineers on technical development.

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $130,000 (Actual compensation varies based on experience and qualifications)

Requirements

B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field

8–15 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in utility or renewable energy design

Licensed PE or ability to obtain it

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation a plus

Experience with Grid, Fuel Gas, utility projects

Knowledge of local zoning, planning reviews, DOT permitting, NYS Environmental Quality Reviews

Experience with land development, utility, or renewable energy projects

Understanding of civil design plans and bid packages

Strong performance standards aligned with our core values
