Summary
The Service Electronics Technician I is a key member of our service team whose focus is on repairing our exchange stock items from customer jobsites, as well as analyzing field returns and trends to provide key information to engineering and production. This experienced, skilled technician repairs all levels of surface-mount and thru-hole mounted electronic equipment.
Responsibilities

Repair all levels of electronic modules, including board-level troubleshooting and replacement for thru-hole and surface mount circuit boards.

Repair power supplies, controllers and other components as needed

Read and understand electronic schematics

Provide detailed feedback to service manager regarding trends, repeat issues, problem jobsites.

Fill and ship customer orders on a regular basis

Participate in maintenance of database of answers to customer questions.

Maintains a sense of urgency while being safety minded and using equipment in a safe manner.

Works in a team environment.

Other duties as required.

Recommend/implement repair testing procedures
Required Qualifications/Skills:
-
Requires demonstrated exceptional troubleshooting and soldering skills.

Requires strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Some physical ability such as moderate lifting and working on ladders
-
Able to stand, walk, talk, and hear. Stoop, kneel, & crouch.

Frequently lift and or move 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and or move 50 pounds.

Perform other various special software and engineering assignments

Vision Requirements: close vision, distance vision, vision, ability to adjust focus
- Experience with circuit-board level soldering highly .
Required Education and Licensing
-
Requires a 2-year electronics technology or similar degree or military equivalent.

Requires minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including board level component troubleshooting and repair.
