Duties/Responsibilities:

· Assembly & Repair: Perform repairs, installations, and inspections of electronics and electronic systems based on verbal instructions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications.

· Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret technical instructions, including schematics, technical drawings, and harness drawings to guide work.

· Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Utilize electrical test equipment (e.g., DMMs, Oscilloscopes) and diagnostic software/hardware to effectively troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems and components.

· Modification & Rework: Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble experimental, prototype, and production assemblies and subassemblies. Modify PCBs and miniaturized components with precision.

· Testing & Validation: Conduct electrical testing to validate design feasibility and ensure system performance under various conditions.

· Documentation: Accurately document work processes, findings, and test results as required.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Proven experience as an Electronic Technician or in a similar role.

· Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.

· Must have practical experience with:

o Digital Multimeters (DMMs) and Oscilloscopes.

o Strong soldering skills (through-hole and surface-mount).

o Basic hand tools and electronic assembly equipment.

· Must have direct experience in the modification of PCBs and miniaturized components.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Problem-solving and analytical abilities.

· Attention to detail and highly organized.

· Ability to follow highly complex technical directions with precision

 

Education and Experience:

· Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

 

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

· Ability to distinguish various colors of wires and distinguish electronic system sections and wiring.
