Job Description

An established building services engineering and construction contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join its project delivery team. The company delivers electrical installation projects across a range of sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, and life sciences.\n\nThis is a site‑based position responsible for the day‑to‑day supervision and coordination of electrical works, ensuring delivery is safe, on programme, and compliant with required quality and regulatory standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupervise and manage daily electrical installation activities on site\nAllocate labour and tasks in line with the contract programme and planned works\nCoordinate electrical operatives and subcontractors to ensure efficient sequencing and safe delivery alongside other trades\nMonitor site progress, identifying delays, risks, or technical issues and reporting these to the Project or Contracts Manager\nLiaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal procurement teams to support timely delivery of materials, equipment, and plant\nEnsure electrical installations are effectively coordinated with mechanical, construction, and other interface works\nPromote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality in line with company procedures, risk assessments, and method statements\n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nEssential:\n\nPrevious experience supervising electrical works on construction or building services projects\nStrong technical knowledge of electrical installations and on‑site coordination\nAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications\nGood understanding of health and safety requirements and site best practice\nStrong communication, organisational, and leadership skills\nDesirable:\n\nTime‑served electrician background\nExperience within sectors such as commercial fit‑out, healthcare, education, life sciences, or residential projects\nSSSTS, SMSTS, or equivalent site safety qualification\nTesting and inspection knowledge or relevant qualifications\n\nPackage\n\nCompetitive salary\nGenerous annual leave entitlement\nPrivate medical cover\nPerformance‑related bonus\nPension scheme\nEmployee wellbeing initiatives\nFlexible working options (role dependent)\nAdditional company benefits
