Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout usWe’re building the next of ground transportation with advanced physical AI to simplify the toughest challenges in modern freight. Our stealth team, founded by the engineers who scaled autonomous driving, is developing an entirely new vehicle platform. We move fast, stay tightly aligned between engineering and product, and focus on creating reliable, real-world autonomous systems.
RoleOwn bring-up, integration, and early validation of new electronic hardware for autonomous automotive platforms. Take boards and EVKs from first power-on to stable operation on the bench and in the full system.Responsibilities
- Bring up new and existing PCBs: power-on, basic validation, programming, and root-causing board-level issues.
- Integrate sensors, compute, and actuators on the bench and final platform; exercise UART, SPI, I²C, USB, CAN, etc.
- Scout, buy, and stand up EVKs/dev kits; build simple test setups and report data to inform hardware choices.
- Use Altium for schematic capture, small design changes, simple board spins (breakouts/adapters), and layout review.
- Plan and run lab tests with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, supplies, and loads; document bring-up steps, test results, and known issues.
- Work tightly with firmware and systems teams to debug system-level issues that trace back to electronics.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; 0–5 years relevant experience (including projects/internships).
- Hands-on experience bringing up custom PCBs or complex dev boards.
- Proficiency with Altium Designer (schematic, basic layout or review, and outputs: BOM, Gerbers, assembly files).
- Working knowledge of common peripherals and components: microcontrollers/SoCs, power regulators, basic analog, level shifting.
- Practical experience with UART, SPI, I²C, and at least one of USB or CAN.
- Comfortable with lab equipment (scope, logic analyzer, DMM, supplies) and reading datasheets/app notes.
Qualifications
- Experience in automotive or other high-reliability systems (CAN/CAN FD, harnessing, basic EMC/safety awareness).
- Experience integrating sensors and compute for robotics or autonomy (e.g., cameras, radar, lidar, IMUs, GNSS).
- Basic embedded firmware skills (C/C++) for board bring-up and hardware testing
