Electrical Engineer - Gas Projects - Kildare

Job DescriptionOur client is an award winning international Design & Build Contractor.The successful candidate will join the Natural Resources Division within the Projects Department.Our client are committed to developing our staff and our CPD Programme is accredited by Engineers Ireland.The position of an Electrical Engineer would suit a motivated, practical and adaptable individual.Working in a dynamic team the post holder will deliver an annual maintenance programme on Electrical, Communication and Instrumentation (E,C&I) assets on the Natural Gas Network countrywide.They will also deliver Capital Expenditure Projects where the network is upgraded or expanded.Plan and deliver work within time and budget while maintaining high safety, environmental and QA standards.Ensure that all resources are trained and have an appropriate level of competence for all tasks undertaken.Meet project KPI obligations.Provide a weekly Cost and Value Report for return to Commercial Department for those resources under your control.Maintain regular contact with the client’s operational and construction teams and keep them abreast of any changes in the maintenance or construction programmes on the network.RequirementsElectrical Engineering degree or equivalent a pre-requisite3+ years relevant experienceElectrical engineering backgroundFamiliar with ATEX installationsSCADAIndustrial InstrumentationClean drivers’ licenceComputer literate and able to work effectively with the basic Microsoft suite of programmes as a minimumGood understanding of the electrical design process and ability to demonstrate working knowledge of brief/scope documents, design concepts as well as some experience technically i.e. calculationsSome commercial awarenessPackage€45k - 55k negotiable based on experience.Company benefits including,Defined contribution pensionMedical AllowanceCompany vehicle ( not available to electrical engineering role on the Ringsend project.)Professional membership fees27 days annual leave per annum
