Director of Project Management
A custom casework contractor supplying the major hospitality market AND multi-family housing industry for over 20 years, is seeking to add a DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT to their leadership team. The company is located in Mount Vernon, VA located in scenic Mt. Crawford, Virginia, near the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountains! Reporting directly to the company President, the DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT will be responsible for leading the team of 4 project managers, executing customer satisfaction by overseeing a smooth and efficient project process, overseeing daily operations of the team, setting clear expectations and growing the business. This is NOT a remote position. As a DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT you will be responsible for: Develop and execute a business plan to grow the company's top line revenues and overall profitability Oversee daily operations of the team Provide oversight of project pipeline to ensure on time, within budget delivery of projects Manage team members and leads by assigning and tasks, setting expectations for performance, and actively monitoring progress Overseeing team member performance and providing feedback for personal growth Communicate with key and develop relationships to drive the growth of the business Ensure all legal requirements are met throughout the life of the project Establish and implement tools and methodologies for the team in key areas to drive predictable and repeatable processes Manages the risk of the business line by implementing operational, financial and HR best practices Communicates with overseas factories including order placement, pricing, managing milestones, and coordination of shipments Attend industry conferences such as BDX to represent company EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree required, prefer degree in technical field or business administration 5-7 years leadership experience required. Experience in construction project management, architecture, and/or custom casework preferred. Ability to think strategically and execute on a strategic business plan Must be an exceptional verbal and written communicator Must be able to lead and direct teams in a dynamic growth environment with a willingness to assume new responsibilities.
