Vertical Recruitment are working with a leading engineering multidisciplinary consultancy who have a unique opportunity for an Director of Building Surveying to join and head up their team in Leeds.

This position is suited to a dynamic individual with the passion and ability to lead my clients Asset Consultancy offering in their Leeds office. This is a pivotal role for the business and will focus on providing strategic property advice to a diverse range of sectors, including cultural, commercial, entertainment, financial, utilities, technology, and education.

The Role:

• As a part of our multidisciplinary team, you will spearhead our Asset Consultancy services, leveraging your consulting and leadership skills. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Serving as the main point of contact for clients and internal collaborators in Leeds
• Collaborating with clients to define project scopes and proposals.
• Overseeing project setup and planning for Asset Consultancy commissions.
• Offering pre-acquisition and post-occupancy guidance across various sectors and building types.
• Crafting strategic, technically sound reports and plans to address client challenges, and managing their implementation.
• Conducting condition surveys, preparing maintenance plans, dilapidation schedules, defect analyses, and more.
• Partnering with senior leaders in the North to drive business development and work-winning endeavours.
• Leading and growing a small team, while fostering collaboration with colleagues across the UK.
• Enhancing the visibility and reputation as a premier Asset Consultancy provider in the regional market.

Qualifications:

• Chartered Building Surveyor
• A well-established network of clients and collaborators in the regional market.
• Proven experience in a line management capacity, coupled with a desire to nurture and expand a team.
