Job DescriptionJob DescriptionViking is seeking an experienced versatile mechanic to join our maintenance team.

Basic Function: To perform maintenance and repair on company vehicles, forklifts and other machinery

Responsibilities:

• Build and assemble vehicle components according to requirements
• Inspect Vehicles, engines, transmissions, etc. and run diagnostic tests discover functionality issues
• Conduct repairs
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
• Perform through maintenance on vehicles, trucks, forklifts and other machinery
• Clean and apply lubricants
• Replenish fluids and components of engines and vehicles
• Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc)
• Keep logs of work and report on issues

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Skills:

• Proven experience as Mechanic
• Excellent knowledge of Vehicles
• Basic Reading Skills
• Lifting up to 100 pounds

Education/Training: Experience:

• Diesel Engine Repair: 5 year
• Mechanical Knowledge

Certifications/Licenses:

Position Reports to: Owner

Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm
45hrs
