Mobile Vehicle Mechanic – Diesel & Fleet Specialist
Location: Concord, CA & Greater Bay Area
Company: Star Fleet Mechanics
Reports To: Field Operations Lead
Job Type: Full-Time (Night & Weekend Shifts Available)
Compensation: $40 - $50 per hour + performance bonuses

About the Opportunity

Star Fleet Mechanics keeps fleets moving across the Bay Area. We handle Amazon delivery vans and heavy-duty fleets, including F-250s through F-550s. This isn’t a shop role—you’ll be out in the field, handling breakdowns and major repairs where the vehicles are. Right now, we’re especially looking for experienced diesel mechanics who can jump into complex repairs with confidence.

About the Role

If you’re dependable, skilled, and don’t shy away from tough work, this role puts your diesel experience to the test. We need mechanics with 5–10 years of real fleet or dealer background. You’ll handle both routine service and advanced diesel jobs, working independently in the field but backed by a focused team.

Schedule

THIS IS AN OVERNIGHT POSITION

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM or 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM
• Weekend rotations (Fri–Sun or Sat–Sun)
• Overtime available

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gas fleet vehicles in the field
• Handle everything from oil changes and brakes to full diesel engine work
• Tackle electrical, HVAC, and advanced repair systems
• Adapt to outdoor conditions: heat, cold, rain, or wind
• Balance independence with teamwork to keep vehicles on the road

What You Bring

• 5–10 years of professional mechanic experience (dealer/fleet background )
• Diesel expertise strongly
• Strong work ethic
• Own basic tools (specialized equipment provided)
