Design Engineer - Scaffold/Hoist/MCWP

Hello,

We are a temporary works consultancy based in London for design and analysis of scaffold, hoists and mast climbing work platforms (MCWP). Due to ongoing work and generating new clients, we are looking to hire an additional design engineer.

Day to day, you will based out of the Walthamstow office (E17, 5min walk from Walthamstow Central tube station) and will be producing 2D/3D CAD designs using various software, but primarily BricsCAD and Revit, as well as other design tasks such as producing typical details from site elements and assisting clients with technical queries.

Working directly with our Principal Engineers and multi-disciplinary design team, you will assist and undertake various designs in both 2D and 3D to produce drawings for scaffold, hoists and mast climbing work platforms.

Knowledge of the temporary works systems is advantageous but not required, as there will be ongoing trianing, however the minimum requirements for the role would be:

• Knowledge of 2D/3D cad software i.e AutoCAD, BricsCAD, etc. for production of drawings.
• HNC/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering, with knowledge of basic engineering principals for structural analysis. (Higher salary range based on level of experience and skill.)
• Strong communication skills, as a lot of work may be dictated from site operatives and Principal Engineer when out of office.

Any candidate with proven experience in an engineering discipline, especially scaffold and/or temporary works, would be ideal. However, any candidate who has the basic requirements and is willing to learn and receive ongoing training during your employment is great.

Salary range: £26,000 - £50,000 varying by experience level.
