Custom Cylinders is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role combines customer support and inside sales responsibilities, focusing on maintaining strong customer relationships while driving revenue. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting existing customer needs, managing quotes, and ensuring seamless order processing through our ERP system, EPICOR. This person will also help with building contact lists, and new customer outreach activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Support:
- Enter customer requests for quotes (RFQs) into the ERP system (EPICOR).
- Provide pricing on standard products to customers promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to obtain pricing and lead times for custom products.
- Present formal quotes to customers, ensuring all relevant information is accurately conveyed.
- Track the status of open quotes and follow up with customers to close opportunities.
- Process customer orders in EPICOR once received.
- Provide customers with timely updates on their order status.
- Prepare reports for customers as needed.
Inside Sales/ Marketing:
- Build relationships with existing customers to identify future needs and business opportunities.
- Communicate with prospects and customers to convert inquiries into sales.
- Schedule meetings with current and prospective customers as needed.
- Maintain accurate customer information and interaction history within the ERP system.
- Build and maintain customer and prospect contact lists.
Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service, administrative support, inside sales, or a related role, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Experience with ERP and sales management systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, etc. (experience with EPICOR is highly desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree a plus.
