Our Operator client is seeking a skilled Cost Engineer to provide essential cost engineering services for midstream projects in the oil and gas sector, based in Aberdeen.

Role Overview

• Coordinate all cost management, reporting, and analysis for OPEX, CAPEX, and ABEX Projects.
• Support budget and AFE processes as required.
• Track, monitor, and accurately report project commitments and forecast costs.
• Provide accurate monthly reporting for overall project and business reporting cycles.
• Ensure proper coding of commitments and invoices, maintaining adequate funding and managing forecast costs.
• Liaise with project personnel on cost-related matters including progress, milestones, and contract variations.
• Prepare monthly Cost Reports, re-evaluating Value of Work based on current data.
• Interrogate data from team members and re-forecast estimates to complete/forecast Final Costs.
• Maintain Suspense Account to ensure appropriate distribution of shared costs across projects.

Skills & Qualifications

• Competent with Operator Cost Control & Financial Systems.
• Extensive knowledge of Cost Control - WBS structures, Budgets, Allocations, Commitments, Value of Work, Forecasts, and Estimated Final Costs.
• Preparation of project reporting - internal and external.

Education & Experience

• Essential: Degree Level qualification or hold a relevant professional qualification.
• Desirable: Working knowledge of Maximo.
