Are you experienced in designing and implementing industrial control systems? We’re looking for a dedicated Controls Engineer to join our team, specializing in control panels, automation systems, and PLC/HMI programming. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing electrical schematics, configuring automation hardware, and ensuring seamless integration of automated processes. If you have a strong background in industrial automation, electrical design, and system troubleshooting, this is your opportunity to work on impactful projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design complex electrical, controls, communication equipment and systems to provide automation for industries such as water/wastewater, food and beverage, and life sciences.
- Program, test, and debug PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric).
- Develops BOMs, IO lists, and requirements for control panels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems and automation equipment.
- Develop detailed engineering documentation including single-line and three-line diagrams, panel elevations, general arrangements, and wiring schematics.
- Ensure all systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers to manage projects, gather feedback, resolve issues, and address concerns.
- Identify scope of work, schedule, and budget requirements
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with customers, consultants and end users
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with internal departments, subcontractors, and customers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in control systems design and implementation.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Ladder Logic, Function Block, Structured Text).
- Experience with SCADA/HMI platforms (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk).
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Familiarity with instrumentation and process control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
