Are you experienced in designing and implementing industrial control systems? We’re looking for a dedicated Controls Engineer to join our team, specializing in control panels, automation systems, and PLC/HMI programming. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing electrical schematics, configuring automation hardware, and ensuring seamless integration of automated processes. If you have a strong background in industrial automation, electrical design, and system troubleshooting, this is your opportunity to work on impactful projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design complex electrical, controls, communication equipment and systems to provide automation for industries such as water/wastewater, food and beverage, and life sciences.
  • Program, test, and debug PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric).
  • Develops BOMs, IO lists, and requirements for control panels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems and automation equipment.
  • Develop detailed engineering documentation including single-line and three-line diagrams, panel elevations, general arrangements, and wiring schematics.
  • Ensure all systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to manage projects, gather feedback, resolve issues, and address concerns.
  • Identify scope of work, schedule, and budget requirements
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with customers, consultants and end users
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with internal departments, subcontractors, and customers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in control systems design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Ladder Logic, Function Block, Structured Text).
  • Experience with SCADA/HMI platforms (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk).
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and process control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
