Contract Senior Electrical Design Engineer\n\nOutside IR35\n\nLondon \n\nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established building services consultancy in London on a contract basis, operating outside IR35.\n\nThis hybrid position involves working within a multidisciplinary building services engineering team, contributing to the delivery of electrical design solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing electrical building services designs, producing technical documentation, and supporting coordinated BIM models.\n\nBased in the London office with flexible hybrid working, this role offers the opportunity to be involved in high-quality projects alongside a team of experienced engineers and consultants.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAs an Electrical Design Engineer, your duties will include:\n\nDelivering electrical building services designs across a range of projects\nProducing electrical schematics, layouts, and associated technical documentation\nSupporting project delivery through multiple RIBA design stages\nWorking collaboratively with mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and architects\nAssisting with BIM coordination and integration of multidisciplinary designs\nPreparing and reviewing technical drawings and design calculations\nContributing to successful project delivery in line with quality, programme, and technical standardsRequirements\n\nTo be considered for this role, you should have:\n\nDemonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within the building services sector\nStrong understanding of electrical building services systems\nExperience in producing design calculations and technical drawings\nProven experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams\nExcellent communication and coordination skills\nAbility to support projects across multiple RIBA stagesDesirable Skills\n\nExperience with Revit or other BIM modelling software\nFamiliarity with Navisworks\nExperience working on commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments
