E.A. DAVIDOVITS & CO., INC. an established Design/Build commercial Construction firm in Redwood City, CA. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer (PE) to join our team and support Project Managers in delivering high-quality, well-coordinated construction projects.

About the Role: 

The Project Engineer plays a key role in ensuring smooth communication, effective coordination, and disciplined project control from start to finish. This position involves a balance of office and field responsibilities, supporting multiple project phases and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities: 

Communication & Coordination

  • Facilitate document exchange between Clients, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors
  • Assist architects with MEP drawings' collection during the permitting process
  • Support smooth communication across all project participants

Management Tasks

  • Manage submittals logs, prepare owner contracts, change orders, and subcontracts
  • Manage punch lists and project close-out documentation
  • Lead small projects and support Project Managers as needed

Project Controls

  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Work with Project Managers on budgets and cost forecasting
  • Ensure project controls are implemented and monitored for compliance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in architecture, civil engineering, or a related technical field
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills a must
  • Proficiency in Excel, with ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Previous experience with a Commercial General Contractor a plus
  • Must be able to multi-task
