Construction Estimator

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce safety standards and maintain OSHA certifications
• Vet subcontractors and suppliers for compliance
• Identify and account for project risks in cost estimates
• Document changes and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Analyze project documents to define scope and cost components
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate estimates
• Source and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure scope alignment and budget goals
• Support preconstruction efforts including value engineering, scheduling, and design coordination
• Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally
• Help develop and refine estimating tools and procedures
• Support proposal development (RFQs, RFPs) and attend internal planning meetings

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s in Construction Engineering
• 5–7 years of construction experience, ideally in estimating or project management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Sage Timberline a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively
