Construction Estimator
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety standards and maintain OSHA certifications
- Vet subcontractors and suppliers for compliance
- Identify and account for project risks in cost estimates
- Document changes and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Analyze project documents to define scope and cost components
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate estimates
- Source and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure scope alignment and budget goals
- Support preconstruction efforts including value engineering, scheduling, and design coordination
- Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally
- Help develop and refine estimating tools and procedures
- Support proposal development (RFQs, RFPs) and attend internal planning meetings
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s in Construction Engineering
- 5–7 years of construction experience, ideally in estimating or project management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Sage Timberline a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively
