Job Description Key Responsibilities Commission and balance HVAC and building services systems, including air and water systems. Keep a daily diary of events under your control, including staff, specialists, decisions made, and any project delays. Take full responsibility for site safety, implementing risk assessments, method statements, and toolbox talks.
Assist the project manager in ensuring successful and timely project completion. Liaise with other trades to coordinate commissioning and specialist works. Prepare and gain approval for project-specific method statements.
Produce concise reports and maintain accurate commissioning documentation. Manage and lead multiple teams on larger-scale projects. Liaise with clients, consultants, and main contractors, representing the company professionally.
Maintain awareness of contractual and commercial policies. Be familiar with BSRIA BG 49, BSRIA BG 2, CIBSE Commissioning Codes A W, and the CSA Commissioning Engineers Compendium. Requirements Skills and Experience Proven experience in commissioning building services systems (HVAC, water, or M E).
Strong understanding of commissioning standards and best practices. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Experience leading teams and managing multiple projects.
Proficiency in producing and maintaining technical documentation. Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to project sites. Qualifications HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
Valid CSCS card and appropriate site safety training. CSA Grading (desirable).
