Reporting directly to the General Manager Legal & Contracts VTS, and working alongside the Director, you will be a key member of the PRV Leadership Team.Your focus will be on driving superior commercial management, leading the team of contract managers in PRV and ensuring the successful delivery of key contracts and projects. This is a permanent role based in Eagle Farm, QLD.Key Responsibilities: Lead the commercial management outcomes for the PRV businessLead the PRV contract management team to deliver on key Contracts and ensure successful project completion and delivery.Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers for optimal outcomes.Identify commercial and contract risks and advise and implement mitigation strategies to ensure optimal commercial and financial outcomes. Provide legal and commercial leadership on high risk high value contracts and projects matters to senior stakeholdersProvide senior advice on relevant commercial and contractual topics such as intellectual property management and protection of rights, claims management (contract and subcontract), Bid and competitive tender submissions. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and Thales’s internal policies.Support the continuous improvement of legal, regulatory compliance, and contractual management processes within PRV. Your Skills:Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business.8-12 years of experience in commercial management or a mix of legal experience/practice and commercial experience.Strong commercial knowledge with a proven track record in a Bid/Capture environment, and delivering project outcomes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Proficiency in Microsoft SuiteExcellent understanding and skill in contract law, contract drafting and dispute management.Experience with government contracting (e.g., ASDEFCON) is desirable.Defence industry experience is a plus but not essential.WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO APPLYAfter you have applied, you will receive an email acknowledging your application.
