Job DescriptionJob Description

Aerotek is hiring a CNC machine operator for a company located in the Bartlett, TN area. This position is a long term contract role paying $35-$45/hr depending on experience. Shift hours are 6:00AM-4:00PM (Monday-Friday). Please apply for immediate consideration.


Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing methods.
  • Install new production equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints and schematics.
  • Perform low voltage repairs and wiring installation (140-208 volt).
  • Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
  • Assess the condition of used parts using measuring tools and specifications.
  • Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Maintain Department Preventative Maintenance Status.
  • Collaborate with CNC operators to ensure overall equipment efficiency.


Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of Maintenance Mechanical experience.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance on CNC equipment.
  • Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail in a manufacturing environment.


Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and preventive maintenance.


Work Environment

Work hours are from 6am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for weekend work and overtime as needed. You will be working with over 80 machines, including CNC lathes, mills, Swiss machines, laser etching, electro polishing, clean room equipment, and packaging equipment.
