Job Purpose


The Civil / Structural Engineer is responsible for performing civil and structural engineering activities within the Projects Engineering Support division. The role ensures compliance with standardized processes and delivers high-quality engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.





Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and review conceptual studies, design basis documents, and civil/structural/infrastructure designs in accordance with Company specifications, international codes, and Qatar Construction Standards.
   
2. Provide technical support to company assets, ensuring timely structural solutions to maintain asset integrity and reliability for safe and continuous plant operations.
   
3. Deliver civil/structural engineering support across all project phases (Pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Design, Execution) to ensure quality and flawless execution.
   
4. Conduct complex analyses and provide expertise to ensure timely completion of engineering activities.
   
5. Develop and review concept packages and detailed civil/structural drawings as per Company Project Management System (PMS).
   
6. Perform and review advanced structural analysis and design using applicable codes and software tools (e.g., STAAD) for onshore projects.
   
7. Provide technical input during RCFA, HAZOP, Risk Assessments, lifting and excavation certifications, inspection programs, constructability reviews, value engineering, 3D modeling, capital efficiency studies, and independent project reviews.
   
8. Liaise with consultants and shareholders, represent Company in external technical forums, and deliver technical presentations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in an oil and gas environment.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong command of written and spoken English.
  
• Proficiency in engineering software tools and computer literacy.
  
• Ability to maintain technical competence as per the Company’s framework.
