Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking experienced Civil Foremen to lead field operations on complex civil construction projects. Ideal candidates will have 5–10 years of hands-on experience in water, sewer, storm systems, transportation infrastructure, trenching, excavation, grading, and utility installations. Prior experience working with the Charleston Water District is a significant plus.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily field activities for civil construction crews.
• Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
• Oversee installation of water, sewer, and storm systems, including trenching and pipe laying.
• Manage excavation and grading operations for site development.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets, and field documentation.
• Train and mentor crew members to promote safety and productivity.
• Operate and oversee heavy equipment as needed.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of field experience in civil construction, with a strong focus on utilities and infrastructure.
• Proven leadership in managing crews and coordinating field operations.
• Strong knowledge of water, sewer, storm systems, trenching, excavation, grading, and transportation projects.
• Experience with Charleston Water District projects is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• OSHA certification and strong safety record.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL ).
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
