Job DescriptionJob Description
Civil Engineer (EIT or PE)
You’ve spent the last few years building your skills in civil engineering — now you’re looking for a role where you can grow, take on more responsibility, and see your work directly impact communities. This position is designed for exactly that.
We’re hiring a
Civil Engineer (EIT or PE)
to join a growing Recreation Division focused on
aquatics and site civil projects . Think municipal projects like public libraries, fire stations, police stations, city halls, and community facilities — projects you can actually point to and say,
“I helped build that.”
What you’ll do:
Work on civil design projects, with a focus on aquatics and site civil work
Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D daily in your design responsibilities
Contribute to projects that serve municipalities across Texas
Collaborate closely with project managers and senior engineers
Travel to job sites as needed (little to no overnight travel, except 2x/year training)
What we’re looking for:
To be upfront, this isn’t an entry-level role. Here’s what you’ll need:
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
EIT or PE license
3+ years of post-grad civil engineering experience
(structural or geotechnical only backgrounds won’t be a fit)
Strong design experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
You don’t need project management experience yet — but the expectation is that you’ll grow into leading projects over time.
Why you might want this role:
Stability:
Founded in 1979, never had layoffs
Flexibility:
After 90 days, hybrid schedule (2 remote, 3 in office/job site)
Benefits:
3 weeks PTO + week between Christmas & New Year’s, 401(k) with 4% match, tuition reimbursement, life/ insurance, discounted gym membership
Growth:
You’ll step into a role designed to move toward project management — with mentorship and responsibility increasing as you’re ready
What to expect in the process:
Virtual interview with Business Development Manager & Hiring Manager
1 in-person interview
Straightforward, honest conversations about your career goals and the company’s expectations
