We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer, FE to join our dynamic team at Gilson Engineering.

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring they meet safety, environmental, and legal standards. This role requires a solid understanding of engineering principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Planning: Develop civil engineering designs for infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, water treatment plants, and drainage systems.
• Site Analysis: Conduct site assessments to evaluate project feasibility, environmental impact, and safety concerns.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, construction teams, and municipal authorities to ensure the integration of engineering designs with other disciplines.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all engineering projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Prepare and review reports, specifications, and technical documents.
• Quality Control: Monitor and inspect construction work to ensure it meets design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Problem-Solving: Address engineering challenges during the construction phase, making adjustments and recommending solutions as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in civil engineering
• Licensing: An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required; working toward a Professional Engineer License is .

Skills:

• • Proficiency in civil engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

• Experience with large/small-scale infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, water systems, etc.).
• Knowledge of sustainable engineering practices and not afraid to think outside the box.
