JOB DESCRIPTION

Title:

Civil Engineer

This is a significant period of growth, and we are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Adelaide team.

In this role, you’ll contribute to a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects across the Defence, Water, Transport, and Buildings sectors. These include roads, rail, water infrastructure, land development, and building-related civil works. Experience in civil design—particularly for defence and infrastructure projects—is highly desirable.

As part of the Civil Engineering discipline group, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engineering design, calculations, technical specifications, and reports.

• Leading and managing design teams to meet technical, quality, and delivery standards.

• Planning and executing engineering tasks across concept, preliminary, and detailed design phases.

• Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams locally and nationally to deliver project outcomes.

• Engaging with project managers, design managers, and clients to provide updates and prepare well-structured proposals and documentation.

• Reviewing designs to ensure compliance with standards, guidelines, and project requirements.

• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting the development of the discipline group.

• Assisting in the preparation of bids and tender submissions.

As the ideal applicant you will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

• CPEng

• Experience working within an engineering consulting environment

• Experience working in a broad range of infrastructure projects within a multi-disciplinary environment

• Previous experience in Civil Infrastructure for projects in one or more of the defence,building civil and transport sectors is essential in the role

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Familiarity with relevant standards and design guidelines to the civil engineering discipline

• The ability to obtain chartership within a reasonable agreed time frame

• A Practical knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety

• Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance
