Chief Operations Specialist (CCL, Innovation and Resource Office)
Job Purposehis Specialist will assist Head, Innovation & Resource Office to oversee CCL financials; work closely and collaborate with cost centre managers and business partners. This Specialist will also assist Head, Innovation & Resource Office to develop and formulate strategies to ensure CCL’s financial KPIs are delivered.Responsibilities1. Maintain oversight of CCL budgets and financial KPIs.2. Generate and prepare monthly financial updates, compare budgets against actual expenditures, note significant variance and seek reasons.3. Assist branches to identify major cost drivers based on past years expenditure to support management decisions.4. Receive proposed budget from Operations and Maintenance branches and examine for correctness, completeness, and compliance to budgeting guidelines.5. Facilitate budget approval process which includes uploading budget information to system.6. Be well-versed with the company’s financial policies and procedures.7. Provide financial guidance for Operations and Maintenance branches.8. Extract cost information for analysis and management’s review.9. Digest updates to financial procedures and update, as necessary. Identify key changes for documentation and learning.10. Assist with planning and organization of workplace activities to bond teams and improve camaraderie.11. Assume the role of Document Controller Officer (DCO), co-held by Preparation Party (Prepared By), for respective documents prepared within department. 12. Plan, lead, and organize workplace activities to bond teams and improve camaraderie.13. Every staff in Circle Line is responsible for their own as well as their Team’s Safety. Render assistance as appropriate to CCL Senior Management as directed.Qualifications & Work Experience1. Degree from a recognized institution, preferably in Engineering or Finance disciplines.3. Highly analytical and structured thinking, a love for numbers, with strong ability to think creatively.4. Ability to assess and handle financial, confidential, and sensitive information appropriately in the best interest of the company.5. Meticulous and attentive to details.Skills1. Good understanding and knowledge of SAP & Maximo.2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.3. Spreadsheet proficiency – using formulae and advanced functions to prepare and generate reports using graphs and charts.4. PowerBI proficiency is a bonus.
