JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Chief Engineer with License over 3000KW (III/2) Location: Joining port Eemshaven-The NetherlandsVessel Type: Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS)Contract Duration: 60 days Vessel Details:- Type: Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS)- Built: 2010- Dimensions: : Length overall 50m, Beam 15m- Tonnage: Gross Tonnage 1397, Deadweight 1268- Propulsion: Two Wartsila diesel engines (8L32), total power 8000KW- Bollard Pull: 123 tons Key Responsibilities: •Engine Room Management: Oversee and manage the operation and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems aboard the vessel.•Maintenance and Repairs: Ensure timely maintenance and repair of engine room machinery, including diesel engines, generators, and auxiliary equipment.•Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols in the engine room, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.•Team Supervision: Supervise and direct engine room personnel, providing training and support to ensure efficient operations.•Documentation: Maintain accurate records of engine performance, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and repairs.•Emergency Response: Lead the engine room team in emergency situations, coordinating with the master and deck crew to manage crises effectively.•Resource Management: Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring availability for routine and emergency needs. VESSEL DESCRIPTION Vessel Type: AHTS Main Engine: 2x Wartsila Engine Model: 8L32 DWT: 1397 BHP: 10880 REQUIREMENTS •Certification: Valid Chief Engineer License (III/2) with unlimited tonnage.•Experience: Significant experience as a Chief Engineer on similar vessels, preferably with experience in towing operations.•Technical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems.•Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and train engine room personnel.•Knowledge: Familiarity with the operational and safety requirements of tug boat towing operations in the Arabian Sea and Gulf.•Physical Fitness: Capability to perform duties under physically demanding maritime conditions.
