Our client, a renowned engineering firm, is currently seeking a skilled CAD Technician specialised in civil engineering to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working on significant water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, water treatment facilities, and related civil engineering works.
Key Responsibilities:
Producing accurate and detailed CAD drawings using Revit for water infrastructure projects
Collaborating with engineers to develop and modify designs for civil engineering projects
Ensuring all drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications
Maintaining and updating CAD libraries to ensure designs remain current and accessible
Assisting in the preparation of technical documentation and project reports
Working two days a week from the Totton or Exeter office, with flexible remote working options
Engaging with various stakeholders, including South West Water, Wessex Water, Thames Water, and Southern Water
Adhering to best practices in CAD processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Job Requirements:
Proficiency in Revit with substantial experience in civil engineering projects
Strong understanding of water infrastructure, including pipelines and related systems
Ability to produce detailed and accurate technical drawings
Experience with water utility projects, especially for SWW, Wessex, Thames, and Southern Water
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team within a flexible working environment
Relevant technical qualification in civil engineering or similar discipline
