The Opportunity:

Our client, a nationally recognized engineering firm, is seeking a Business Development leader with a background in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering in the Pacific Northwest. Our client is looking for a "Seller Doer." Someone who is skilled in growing the business as well as delivering on technical design work. The role itself can be located in Portland, Bend, Oregon, or Seattle, Washington. Come join our clients' world-class Electrical Team. Your Role:

  • Design and plan electrical power systems for all types of projects including but not limited to: hospitals, laboratories, high-rise offices, educational facilities, and other commercial and institutional projects.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by maintaining relationships with existing clients and identifying opportunities for future work.
  • Support proposal development and project pursuits, including assisting with technical narratives, scope definition, and client presentations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify strategic growth opportunities in key markets such as education, healthcare, and commercial projects.
  • Collaborate with external team members including architects, outside consultants, code officials, and contractors.
  • Partner with internal team members of other disciplines to deliver fully coordinated and thoughtfully developed designs.
  • Ensure high-quality work produced by electrical design team members through consistent quality control processes.
  • Train and mentor electrical designers to help them grow and develop their design and consulting skills.
  • Support Project Managers in overseeing project budgets, schedules, and team coordinationfostering a culture of efficiency and excellence.
  • Participate in the review of MEP systems, interface with code officials and contractors, and engage with architects and clients to establish yourself as a trusted partner.



Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as an MEP Engineer in infrastructure and/or building systems.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
  • Knowledge of OSHPD (HCAI) standards .
  • Experience in sustainable design, demonstrating a commitment to eco-friendly solutions.
  • Proficiency in Revit, showcasing mastery of industry-leading design tools.
  • LEED AP BD+C accreditation and WELL certification .
  • Must be located in Portland, Bend, Oregon, or Seattle, Washington
