The organisation is the UK leader in environmental solutions, offering a wide range of energy services to their commercial customers. Our client has reorganised their internal capabilities and allocated new resources into their distributed energy division. This division is responsible for selling, building, managing and operating a range of technologies in order to help their customers reach their net zero targets.
The company is looking to add a Business Developer to join their distributed energy division to build new relationships and sell energy solutions and cross functional services into new and existing commercial customers.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:
*Respond to initial sales and technical enquiries from external customers.
*Produce feasibility reports and manage budgets and proposals as and when required.
*Visit consultants, contractors, developers and end-user customers across the UK to attend to sales enquiries, meetings and carry out site surveys.
*Negotiate various forms of contract with a thorough understanding of all commercial, technical, operational and financial requirements required as part of your negotiations.
*Build a healthy sales pipeline in line with your KPI's.
*Financial responsibilities: able to raise proposals based on the published price list.
*Produce maintenance offers using specific sales tools.
*Maintain records within the Sales files.
The successful candidate will have acquired:
*A minimum of 4 years' of selling Distributed Energy experience (CHP, Energy Storage, Solar, etc).
*Experience in selling and negotiating large contracts (£1m+).
*Technical/Engineering background within the energy sector
*Commercial and technical knowledge of the Combined Heat and Power industry.
*Strong engineering background and previous experience in managing large projects, opportunities and tenders in a sales environment.
