Job Description
Building Safety Consultant required to join a well-established construction consultancy. You will be experienced in residential building safety and keen to pursue a career in consulting and work with a broad range of clients across the built environment.\n\nThe role offers hybrid working with a connection to the company's Manchester office. Projects and clients are based across the North West.\n\nYou will work with clients in the residential sector, including owner/managers of Higher-Risk Buildings, to support and advise clients on building safety matters and developing building safety documentation.\n\nThe role has been created due to the changes taking place in the industry relating to the Building Safety Act.
The company are offering further training to gain qualifications outlined below.\n\nThe role could suit a housing association professional or similar working environment with experience in the sector, preferably as a building or fire safety manager. Excellent interpersonal skills are required due to the client-facing nature of the role.\n\nQualifications\n\nYou may hold, be working towards or interested in gaining the CIOB Diploma in Building Safety Management qualification.\n\nNEBOSH General Certificate or further safety qualifications.\n\nMembership of a professional body such as IOSH or CIOB.\n\nQualification and/or experience in fire safety desirable.\n\nExperience\n\nExperience of working with (implementing, improving, developing) safety management systems.\n\nExperience in writing and implementing a engagement strategy.\n\nKnowledge and experience in writing building safety cases and reports .\n\nDemonstrable experience of statutory compliance for building and fire safety.\n\nThe company recognise the importance of flexible and agile working so welcome conversations on how this role could work for you.\n\nThe role will pay £55k -£65k plus an excellent benefits package; car/allowance, pension, healthcare, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays with the option to purchase up to an additional 5 days, eyecare vouchers, dental plans and much more
