Job Spec
Mosaic is looking for a US-based (Dallas, Houston, LA, San Fran or Chicago) AVP or VP Combined Form Underwriter to join our Environmental Liability Team to help drive the expansion of our US Environmental Casualty book. This is a rare opportunity to take a meaningful role in a market-leading team and further develop your career.
Responsibilities
Production & Underwriting: Drive profitable growth through comprehensive risk analysis in accordance with our underwriting guidelines and philosophy
Broker Relationships: Develop and maintain strong broker relationships, drive new submissions and maintain existing accounts
Remains knowledgeable of current market trends (coverage, forms and emerging environmental/legal issues)
Prepares quotes, binders, referrals and document underwriting files in compliance with company guidelines
Negotiate terms, conditions and pricing on an account specific basis
Skills, Experience and Education
7+ years of casualty underwriting experience required
expertise in environmental and/or middle market casualty products
Strong existing network of brokers with demonstrated ability to drive production
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
Strong written and oral communication skills
Highly focused, enthusiastic and creative thinker
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a prompt and professional manner
Ability to negotiate with sophisticated advisors and clients
Ability to be proactive, work independently and make decisions
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Environmental or Insurance is
