Overview / Responsibilities
Job Objective

Provides leadership and direction for the Commissioning service line to engage personnel on projects and improve department work processes and procedures. The position will ensure compliance with applicable HSEQ Management System, Customer Safety Policies, and governmental regulations by supervising the development of procedures and safety plans and ensuring proper execution.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Embraces Wood strategic purpose, goals, and objectives and translates these into practical concepts relevant to HSEQ management
  • Leads a team consisting of professional staff
  • Delivers, maintains and tracks Regulatory and Compliance Training
  • Provides constructive feedback & coaching for implementation of best practices
  • Create and maintain service line procedures
  • Develops annual department goals and objectives
  • Creates and supports delivery of Permit to Work and Isolation management systems for major capital projects.
  • Staffing and development of HSEQ talent for department and projects
  • Manages ISNET World Account
  • Conducting periodic meetings with department staff, to provide top-down information flow about the company
  • Reports, tracks and receives Key Perf.ormance indicators for improvement.
  • Support Business Development and Proposals department
  • Ensure HSEQ Management Systems are monitored and in compliance
  • Ensures compliance with audit protocols
  • Conducts site visits to promote HSEQ best practices and HSSE assurance on projects
  • Development of HSEQ project and department safe work plans
  • Support HSEQ presentation needs to clients (internal and external)
  • Ensure HSEQ related training is applicable to office and project needs

Internal: Senior Managers, Directors and Leaders, Procurement, Operations, Engineering/Technology Teams, Commercial Business Units, Global Peers
External: Suppliers, Third party providers, External auditors, Regulatory authorities, Clients

Skills / Qualifications
  • Associate/Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Preferred
  • ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor Qualified preferred

Knowledge, skills and experience:
  • 8+ years HSEQQ experience
  • Knowledge of HSEQ standards and legal requirements
  • Experience of working in and managing a Quality and HSEQ Management system environment
  • Supervisory or direct management experience of more junior staff members is required.
  • Experience within the Oil and Gas industry desirable
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office to include Excel and VISIO
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Confident self-starter who can work independently
  • Knowledge of internal and external audits and third party certification audits practices
