About the Role:

2019 is a significant year of turnaround activities across all onshore and offshore assets. A Continuous Improvement Specialist is required to lead the establishment of a continuous improvement culture and systems throughout Company's activities, processes and projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop a CI strategy for each assignment
  • Work closely with project teams
  • Challenge existing processes and the current conditions to encourage the need for continuous improvement
  • Schedule CI Training, when needed
  • Assess learning through implementation
  • Maintain a register of improvement ideas
  • Actively seek out new improvement opportunities
  • Maintain a feedback loop to the development and implementation of ideas
  • Maintain a benefit register per project/activity
  • Exercise tight cost and progress control
  • Communicate progress with stakeholders
  • Exhibit good governance
  • Track cumulative value
  • Maintain a CI toolkit of Lean /Six sigma methods appropriate to the training requirement and people development
  • Communicate effectively to all stakeholders
  • Develop an apply a communication and engagement plan
  • Develop/use lessons learnt data base
  • Facilitate post-implementation reviews
  • Skills & Experience:

  • Experienced Lean and six sigma practitioners (qual check and which org)
  • Able to demonstrate delivery of lean and six sigma principles.
  • Analytical mindset
  • Ability to deliver results
  • Ability to influence leaders and frontline staff
  • Significant (10yrs+) experience in oil and gas company or equivalent continuous, capital intensive industry
