Role Summary:

Manage strategic sourcing efforts with emphasis to Drilling Services specific machining and manufacturing requirements such as BTA-/ Gun-Drilling, milling, turning, grinding, EDM, welding, head treatment, etc. but also mechanical turnkey sub-assemblies.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop new suppliers in the US, Canada and best cost countries such as Mexico, China, India
to add incremental third party machining capacity according Drilling Services (DS) needs and leverage cost out opportunities.

• Manage strategic supplier accounts (Tier1) and monitor performance KPIs and associated metrics.

• Prepare and manage contracts, run RFQs and negotiations

• Support DS market ramp up especially supply for the Motor Center of Excellence in Oklahoma City.


A Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain Management are preferred or equivalent experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description, a minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical systems procurement, planning, strategic sourcing or supply chain. SAP ERP experience or 5 years production planning or purchasing experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment is a plus.

• Must possess demonstrated knowledge of mechanical manufacturing requirements and ability to assess supplier capabilities relevant to BHGE DRS business needs.
• Must possess excellent analytical-, verbal and written communication- and excellent negotiation- skills within a global environment.
• Must possess meeting facilitation experience, including structured negotiations, fact finding discussions, interview, and presentation with various organizations.
• Must possess demonstrated knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRPII)/Master Production Schedule (MPS) process.
• Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, influence and work well with others.
• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks proactively and effectively.
• Highly motivated and self-directed worker.
• Must demonstrate proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
• Willingness for international business travel up to 40% of work time.
