Job Description:

Siemens\nRail Automation is seeking to hire a Senior Project\nManager to monitor projects from the bid phase through to customer\nacceptance. In this role, you will perform project/program management\nactivities (defining scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource\nmanagement activities). You will also supervise, direct and motivate the\nproject team during planning, estimating, design, installation, start up,\ncommissioning, turnover and warranty of assigned projects. In addition, you\nwill ensure customer satisfaction during and at final project completion.\nTravel to Customer sites is required. This role will involve extensive\ninteraction with sales, systems engineering, product development, procurement,\nmanufacturing, and other members of cross-functional teams.

\n\n Responsibilities:\n
\n\n \n
\n\n • Participate in pre-bid reviews and sales\nto operations turnover meetings to evaluate accuracy of the sales estimate and\nproject requirements.
\n\n • Analyze plans, contract specifications\nand requirements to determine project requirements. Follow up with appropriate\nmanagement to assure understanding and satisfaction of project scope.
\n\n • Manage the development of project plans\nin advance of project activity to assure effective execution by the Project\nTeam and monitor progress to ensure compliance with the pre-determined\nexecution plan.
\n\n • Oversee preparation and execution of\nengineering schedules. Utilize financial and monthly forecasting to manage and\ncontain costs.
\n\n • Prepare or oversees preparation of\nprogress billings, pursue timely payments from the customer and authorizes\npayments to material suppliers and subcontractors.
\n\n • Participate in Project reviews and\nacceptance testing and manages the completion of all close out documentation\nsuch as As-Built drawings and system operating instructions, transfers or\nexcess materials, billings, collections and payments, and all project records.\n

\n\n Required\nKnowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
\n\n
\n\n • Previous project management experience\n(8+ years) including management/oversight of project profit and loss and\nleading cross-functional teams.
\n\n • Experience interfacing with customers and\nleading customer interactions.
\n\n • Experience in the railroad industry.
\n\n • Familiarity with industry-related\ncomputer software and hardware.
\n\n • Control Systems Project\nManagement experience preferred
\n\n • Project Management Professional\nCertification (PMP) desired
\n\n • Electrical or Computer Engineering Degree\npreferred
