Position Overview;
Siemens PTI is the think tank of Siemens\nEnergy Management Business Unit and provides thought leadership to our\ncustomers on long term development plan, energy strategies, smart energy\nsystem, digitalisation & IoT consultancy and business model innovation to\ncope up with the energy and digital transformation.
We are seeking Energy Business Advisory\nConsultants to work with our customers to formulate energy transition\nprogrammes / strategies and co-create new business models. Our customers\ninclude electricity / gas / water utility clients, transport infrastructure\nagencies, industries, regulators, local authorities, mixed use developers,\nindependent system operators.

\nResponsibilities;
\n
Job responsibilities will include the following:
    \n
  • Manage and deliver "Energy Business Advisory"\n services: smart autonomous grids, increased penetration of Distributed\n Generations and impacts of digitalisation in the energy sector.
  • \n
  • Develop energy transition strategies and\n undertake smart energy system planning and design.
  • \n
  • Undertake techno-economic studies to identify\n business cases for customers, conduct techno-economic evaluations of\n project proposals including good understanding of financial concepts.
  • \n
  • Develop new business models and revenue\n streams within the UK / Ireland regulatory framework.
  • \n
  • • Assist the PTI\n Business Manager in the development of strategy, business targets and\n financial achievements
  • \n
  • • To develop and maintain external customer relationships
  • \n
  • \n
What do I need to qualify\nfor this job?
Education
    \n
  • University degree or higher
  • \n
  • Post Graduate Degree / Phd will be considered\n towards experience.
  • \n
Desirable Knowledge
    \n
  • Passionate about sustainability, energy\n transition, smart autonomous grids and impacts of digitalization in the\n energy industry.
  • \n
  • Knowhow in energy system industry and energy\n market
  • \n
  • Knowhow in the UK / Ireland regulatory\n framework
  • \n
  • Knowhow in digitalisation and business model\n transformation
  • \n
  • Knowhow in digital twin and asset management.
  • \n
  • IoT and smart grid consulting skill.
  • \n
  • Solid mathematical foundation
  • \n
Social skills
    \n
  • Solid communication skills and ability to\n present findings clearly via reports and presentations is required.
  • Has a proactive attitude towards leading\n initiatives, driving improvement and change management.
