We are looking a R&D Engineer (M/F) to join the Design Office team , in site Rueil-Malmaison. (92)
Job purpose :
You wish evolve in an innovative environment, solve technical challenges, participate to new products birth and consolidation of the older ones. Take active part in all the R&D studies driven by the Design Office. Design Office works in support of the ITC R&D projects (ETH Blanket, ETH Rigid lines, Integrated Connectors, Hybrid Flexibles, GNL Flexibles and others). Job consists in defining and evaluating possible technical solutions for the R&D projects, using usual techniques of the mechanical engineer (CAD, Numerical calculus, Common sense, Testing, etc.). The first mission will deal with evaluation of various hybrid flexible end fittings concepts, as well as simulation results correlation with tests.
Main accountabilities :
Building analysis and simulation skills, propose innovative and pertinent solutions to R&D projects, meeting budgetary and schedule constraints.

Job scope :
The engineer executes R&D studies, that are part of a wider R&D project. Interactions are multiple, within ITC and also with the different entities of TechnipFMC.
You Evolve in an innovative environment, solve technical challenges, participate to new products birth and consolidation of the older ones.

Lignes de reporting et interactions :

Direct reporting to the Design Office Manager. Indirect reporting to the applicable R&D Project Managers. Works in interaction with Design Office other engineers and draftmen. Works in interaction with other TechnipFMC EMS entities Works in interaction with suppliers.
Profile :
Of higher learning bac+5 You have experience Subsea Industry Culture. (Rigid Pipeline, Flexible pipelines, Ancillary Equipments, Offshore Construction, Geotechnics)
You have a good Mechanical Technology culture (Metals, Forging, Castings, Machining, Forming, Cutting , Welded assemblies, Bolted assemblies, Machinery elements, Hydraulics, Sealing elements, Thermal insulation, Plastics, Reinforced Plastics ...)
But also, design Evaluation Culture via simplified analytic methods (Freebody diagrams, Simple physics equations...) with Design Evaluation Culture via simplified analytic methods and numerical modelling (Mainly FEA). In the context of the 1st study, outstanding skills in operation ABAQUS are necessary.
