Position Summary

Manages Fabrication shop activities in support of specific project and business operations. Assigns and supervises the work of incumbents at lower levels.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages fabrication shop operations which may include preparation and control of budget, scheduling, purchasing, or statistical reports.
  • Interprets and/or implements company and internal administrative policies and procedures as they apply to functional area or assignments.
  • ensures that activities are conducted in compliance with established procedures and keeps shop personnel informed of requirements and commitments in regards to all shop and fabrication operations
  • Recommends improvements to work processes, procedures and practices.
  • Lead and direct the general services group along with overseeing the preventative maintenance effort for the shop equipment.
  • Establishes shop fabrication priorities
  • Responsible for material control and following QA/QC standards
  • Drives safety

  • BA or BS or equivalent desired.
  • 4+ years fabrication shop experience and combination of additional specialized experience/technical education can be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Able to perform material take offs and understand isometric drawings
  • Strong knowledge of Pipe fabrication and weld procedures
  • Knowledge in Microsoft office
